I write and conduct all kinds of ceremonies, telling stories of love and life.
How you make other people feel about themselves says a lot about you. I want the couples I marry, the families and friends celebrating a new arrival, and the loved ones gathering to remember a life well lived, to leave feeling something good, fulfilled, comforted, uplifted, perhaps even a little lighter.
Quite simply, I want to bring joy, comfort, laughter and a little bit of sparkle. I want to create moments that make people smile, moments that make them laugh, and moments that stay with them long after the ceremony is over. And when the occasion is a difficult one, I hope I can make hearts feel a little less heavy.
The ceremonies I create with you and for you will be as unique as you are. They’ll tell your story, in your words, your way, whether that story is one of love, life or loss.
We’ll share the memories, the laughter, the tears and the moments that matter. And along the way, we’ll support, encourage and inspire each other to create a ceremony that feels completely, wonderfully you.
I was brought up on the wonderful Wirral peninsula. Many of my family and friends are still there and I visit as often as I can. ‘You can take the girl out of Merseyside but you can’t take Merseyside out of the girl!’ I will always love the quick wit, creativity and compassion of people from that area and I hope I’ve brought that with me to my rural idyll in Cumbria.
I made the move to the Eden Valley over 30 years ago and have been here long enough to call it home, although it will take another generation to be considered a local!
My background is full of children. I ran a children’s nursery for many years and have been a primary school teacher until recently. Indeed, I am now marrying some of the children I have cared for and holding naming ceremonies for their children! What a privilege.
I embrace everything I do with energy and enthusiasm. I’ve always entertained people, performing as an amateur actress and singer from an early age. The peak of my career was playing Mrs Overall in ‘Acorn Antiques – the musical’, say no more.
‘To have joy, you must share it’. I love people (and animals) and am determined to spend more of my time volunteering and fundraising to support charities both locally and nationally.

The natural beauty feeds my soul every day, whatever the weather. I share my lovely life with my husband Keith, a dry stone waller, and the light of our lives, our son Toby.
Mini Ginny Clementine, the most beautiful ginger cat in the world and our 25th Wedding Anniversary gift to ourselves, a silver grey tabby called Merry, make our house a home.
I have been trained and qualified with Heart Led Celebrant Training. I am a member of and insured through the Association of Independent Celebrants.
I ensure best practice and continuous improvement by attending workshops and CPD online and ‘in real life!’
